A radio network controller (RNC) provides a packet switched (PS) service and a circuit switched (CS) service to the UEs. A UE that is in a Packet Mobility Management-Idle (PMM-Idle) mode after joining at least one MBMS service, transmits MBMS service-related information thereof to the RNC, and the RNC stores the MBMS service-related information in a first service context for the MBMS service held in the RNC, together with information on the UE.

摘要： Disclosed is an uplink random access procedure in an NB-TDD (Narrow Band Time Division Duplexing) system. To achieve an acknowledgement for data transmission from a UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), a UE selects one of a plurality of sync codes by which the UTRAN identifies UEs that request data transmission and transmits the selected sync code in a time slot of a sub-frame to the UTRAN. Then, the UE receives the sync code information, information about the arrival time of the sync code, time update information indicating a variation in the transmission time of data, and power information indicating an adjustment to a power gain in the UE from the UTRAN on an FPACH (Fast Physical Access Channel). The UE transmits the data on a P-RACH (Physical Random Access Channel) mapped from the FPACH according to the time update information and the power information.

摘要： A method of signaling bearer connection on Iu interface for MBMS service, includes the following steps: (a) RNC receives a MBMS Notification message for a certain MBMS service from SGSN; (b) RNC constructs a MBMS Service Request message according to the contents of the notification; (c) RNC sends a SCCP Connection Request message to SGSN, requests to establish a SCCP signaling connection, and then waits for a reply; (d) RNC receives a SCCP Connection Confirmation message from SGSN. This invention solves the problem of signaling connection on Iu interface after MBMS service is introduced into the existing mobile communication system. The connection mode provided in this invention can reasonably utilize network resources, effectively reduce signaling congestion on Iu interface and reduce modifications to the existing Iu interface message.

摘要： Disclosed is a power setup method for minimizing a delay time caused by an HARQ of an E-DCH when an MAC-e PDU comprising scheduling information required for using a Node B controlled scheduling is transmitted in environments supporting a packet data service through the E-DCH in an asynchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system. A user equipment (UE) generates packet data for transmitting through the E-DCH, determines if signaling information is included in Quality of Service (QoS) of the packet data and the packet data, sets a power gain preset according to each QoS of the packet data, applies a determined offset value to the set power gain when the signaling information is included in the packet data, and transmits the packet data through the E-DCH according to the power gain to which the offset value has been applied.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for measuring a propagation delay value of a frame transmitted by a UE (User Equipment) to a Node B in a TDD (Time Division Duplexing) mobile communication system. The UE acquires synchronization with the Node B based on a downlink pilot channel signal transmitted in a period of a downlink pilot time slot, and determines an estimated round trip delay value T1 by comparing transmission power of a physical common channel signal in a first time slot with reception power of the same signal. The UE receives a transmission point correcting value T2 through a forward physical access channel (FPACH) signal transmitted from the Node B in a period of one downlink time slot among the time slots, and transmits a physical random access channel (PRACH) message with the estimated round trip delay value T1 at a transmission point determined based on T2 and T1.

摘要： An encoding method and apparatus for a DCH (Dedicated Channel) encoder and a DSCH (Downlink Shared Channel) encoder in a transmitter for a mobile communication system including the DCH encoder for encoding k bits among 10 input TFCI (Transport Format Combination Indicator) bits and the DSCH encoder for encoding remaining (10−k) bits among the input TFCI bits. The method comprises generating, by the DCH encoder, a first coded bit stream by encoding the k input bits into 32 bits, and outputting a (3k+1)-bit stream by puncturing the first coded bit stream according to a specific mask pattern corresponding to the k value; and generating, by the DSCH encoder, a second coded bit stream by encoding the (10−k) input bits into 32 bits, and outputting a {3*(10−k)+1}-bit stream by puncturing the second coded bit stream according to a specific mask pattern corresponding to the (10−k) value.
