    • Provided are categorizing unit (2) which analyzes whether or not a character string contained in text data matches any of member character strings of a category provided as parameters, and acquires a category character string provided as a parameter for a name scale of the matched member character string; and an integration unit (3) which integrates the acquired category character string to a relational database. A category character string converted from the text data can be arbitrarily changed by a parameter, and a member character string used for assessing the match at the time of converting the text data to the category character string can be also changed arbitrarily by a parameter, and thereby, the text data can be flexibly categorized interactively.

    • An inkjet recording apparatus includes a waveform outputting circuit and a current restricting circuit. The waveform outputting circuit outputs to each individual electrode one of ejection signals and a flushing signal, which does not cause any nozzle to eject ink droplets, selected in order in each printing cycle. The current restricting circuit restricts the value of a current to flow from a power supply unit into the waveform outputting circuit, to a value not more than an upper limit current value. The upper limit current value exceeds the value of the current to flow into the waveform outputting circuit when the waveform outputting circuit outputs to all individual electrodes an ejection signal corresponding to the largest amount of ink to eject. The upper limit current value is less than the value of the current to flow into the waveform outputting circuit when the waveform outputting circuit outputs the flushing signal to all individual electrodes.

    • An electric power source system in which a momentary interruption of the electric power supply does not occur when the direction of voltage conversion is switched by a voltage conversion device that is capable of bidirectional voltage conversion. The electric power source system includes a bidirectional switching regulator that selectively switches between the voltage conversion in the step-up direction from a low-voltage system to a high-voltage system and the voltage conversion in the step-down direction from the high-voltage system to the low-voltage system, and a linear regulator, connected in parallel to the bidirectional switching regulator, that converts voltage in the step-down direction. The direction of current that flows via the bidirectional switching regulator switches from the step-up direction to the step-down direction after current flows in the step-down direction via the linear regulator.

The feed controller has the sheet feeder initiate feeding a following sheet which is fed next to a preceding sheet, (i) at a first feed timing in order that a distance between the preceding sheet and the following sheet becomes smaller than a dimension of a recording area of the printheads in the sheet feed direction, when the drive-data supplier can supply the drive data to the printheads at a concurrent-recording enabling timing at which it is possible to concurrently record, at the recording area, an image on a trailing end portion of the preceding sheet and an image on a trailing end portion of the preceding sheet and an image on a front end portion of the following sheet, and (ii) at a second feed timing having a longer interval than that of the first feed timing, when the drive-data supplier can not supply the drive data at the concurrent-recording enabling timing.

    • There is disclosed a recording apparatus including a feeding mechanism, a recording head, a position sensor, a determining portion, and a recording-head controller. The feeding mechanism feeds a recording medium placed on a feeding surface. The recording head ejects a liquid droplet onto the recording medium on the feeding mechanism. The position sensor outputs a detection signal when the recording medium being fed by the feeding mechanism reaches a predetermined position, and also when a liquid-droplet ejection area formed at a part of the feeding surface reaches the predetermined position. The determining portion determines whether the liquid-droplet ejection area reaches the predetermined position. The recording-head controller controls the recording head such that: (i) when the detection signal is not outputted from the position sensor, the recording head does not eject a liquid droplet, (ii) when the detection signal is outputted from the position sensor and the determining portion determines that the liquid-droplet ejection area does not reach the predetermined position, the recording head records on the recording medium an image desired to be recorded on the recording medium, and (iii) when the detection signal is outputted from the position sensor and the determining portion determines that the liquid-droplet ejection area reaches the predetermined position, the recording head prints on the liquid-droplet ejection area an image desired to be printed on the liquid-droplet ejection area.

    • There is disclosed a recording apparatus including a recording head, a feeding mechanism, a detector, and a controller. The recording head has an ejection surface from which a droplet of a liquid is ejected. The feeding mechanism includes a plurality of rollers and an endless feeder belt wound around the rollers and having a feeding surface opposed to the ejection surface, and feeds a recording medium placed on the feeding surface a part of which serves as a liquid-droplet ejection area onto which a droplet of the liquid is ejected. The detector detects a trigger for initiating a manual cleansing of the liquid-droplet ejection area. The controller controls the feeding mechanism such that when the detector detects the trigger, the liquid-droplet ejection area is located at a cleansing position where the liquid-droplet ejection area is not opposed to the ejection surface of the recording head.
