    • A system for shielding personnel and/or equipment from radiation particles. In one embodiment, a first substrate is connected to a first array or perpendicularly oriented metal-like fingers, and a second, electrically conducting substrate has an array of carbon nanostructure (CNS) fingers, coated with an electro-active polymer extending toward, but spaced apart from, the first substrate fingers. An electric current and electric charge discharge and dissipation system, connected to the second substrate, receives a current and/or voltage pulse initially generated when the first substrate receives incident radiation. In another embodiment, an array of CNSs is immersed in a first layer of hydrogen-rich polymers and in a second layer of metal-like material. In another embodiment, a one- or two-dimensional assembly of fibers containing CNSs embedded in a metal-like matrix serves as a radiation-protective fabric or body covering.

    • A suspending buckle mechanism of output water device, which connects to a supporting arm protruding out of a wall, includes a sucker mechanism, a suspending tube, a supporting hoop and an elastic buckle. The suspending tube has an upper part with a through fixing hole and a lower part fixed to the sucker mechanism. The supporting hoop includes: a connecting sleeve, on which an axial groove is internally and externally disposed, and two connecting sheets. Through holes are disposed in the connecting sheets. The connecting sheets are symmetrically fixed around the connecting sleeve. The elastic buckle is placed between the connecting sheets. The connecting sheets are inserted in the upper opening of the hanging tube in order to make the convex columns of the elastic buckle protrude out of the through hole and then inserted in the fixing hole, so that the connecting sleeve can clasp the supporting arm.

    • A single integrated sensing chip with multi-functions for tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) comprises: a pressure sensor, an accelerometer, a temperature sensor, and an ASIC (Applied Specific Integrated Circuit) that implements signal conditioning and digitalizes pressure output. The accelerometer incorporated for vehicle motion is used to determine centrifugal acceleration or three-axial acceleration of the rotating wheel, and used for the TPMS sensor wake-up from “power down” mode, or when the velocity of the vehicle is higher than certain speed threshold, which is more robust and lower in cost than the mechanical vibration switch and is naturally integrated with the electronic control unit. The accelerometer can be used for regular motion sensing to monitor the dynamic stability. The integrated sensor system can be packaged into one plastic package first, and then surface mounted to the printed circuit board, or the multi-function single chip can be wafer bonded on the wafer level first and diced into many individual chips, with each chip being directly attached on to the printed circuit board by wire bonding or flip-chip assembly.
