    • An electronic card includes a housing, a plurality of contacts retain on the housing and a slider movably retained on the housing. The housing has a mating surface. The contacts are arranged in two rows along a length direction of the housing. Each contact in a first row has a flat first contact portion exposed to the mating surface. Each contact of a second row has a raised elastic second contact portion behind the first contact portion. The slider can move along the length direction of the housing to drive the second contact portions alternatively hiding below the mating surface or protruding out of the mating surface.

    • A method for managing and allocating radio resources (RRMA method) of multiple radio resource types to subscriber stations is disclosed. The RRMA method includes bandwidth partitioning, into parts comprising “slots” with a given reuse pattern, a selection rule, to select a “cell, reuse pattern” pair serving each user, and an allocation rule, for distributing to each user an appropriate number of bandwidth slots from the selected “cell, reuse pattern” pair. After an adaptation period, the method reaches a desired fairness, while simultaneously reaching a maximal mean throughput, possible under this fairness. For big networks, the method provides basically decentralized radio resource management. The RRMA method is useful to cellular networks having a single set of orthogonal sub-channels (frequency/time slots) being reused by all network cells, such as time division multiple access (TDMA), orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), or OFDMA/TDMA cellular systems. Particularly, the method is applicable in fractional frequency reuse cellular networks.

    • A method for power-efficiency management in a virtualized cluster system is disclosed, wherein the virtualized cluster system comprises a front-end physical host and at least one back-end physical host, and each of the at least one back-end physical host comprises at least one virtual machine and a virtual machine manager for managing the at least one virtual machine. In the method, flow characteristics of the virtualized cluster system are detected at a regular time cycle, then a power-efficiency management policy is generated for each of the at least one back-end physical host based on the detected flow characteristics, and finally the power-efficiency management policies are performed. The method can detect the real-time flow characteristics of the virtualized cluster system and make the power-efficiency management policies thereupon to control the power consumption of the system and perform admission control on the whole flow, thereby realizing optimal power saving while meeting the quality of service requirements, so that a virtualized cluster system with high power-efficiency can be provided.

    • A method for concurrent transmission of multiple radio-frequency signals in a wireless network. The method is executed at a node of the wireless network and makes use of the node's knowledge of local network topology, locations of certain packets in the node's neighborhood, and local state of the radio-frequency (RF) channel to identify a relatively wide range of different opportunities for zero-forcing, aligning, and/or canceling unwanted RF signals at the receiving node(s). The identified opportunities are communicated to the neighbor nodes to advantageously cause concurrent transmissions of a relatively large number of packets.
