摘要： An organic boron compound effective for constituting a functional layer in an organic luminescence device is represented by formula (1) below: wherein Ar1 denotes an optionally substituted aryl group or heterocyclic group; R1-R11 independently denote hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, amino, alkoxy, formyl, nitrile, aroyl, alkyloyl, aryl, aralkyl or heterocyclic group, each optionally substituted with the proviso that an adjacent one or more pairs of R1-R11 can form a condensed ring. The organic boron compound can be produced through a process including (A) a step of reacting an aromatic ketone compound X with an aromatic ketone compound or an aromatic aldehyde compound in the presence of ammonium chloride, and (B) a step of reacting a product of the step (A) with an aromatic boric acid compound.

摘要： An electrophotographic apparatus includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a charger for charging the electrophotographic photosensitive member including a charging member supplied with a voltage and disposed in contact with the photosensitive member so as to form a nip with the photosensitive member to charge the photosensitive member; an exposure device; a developing device; and a transfer device. The photosensitive member includes a surface layer containing a charge-transporting material having an oxidation potential of 0.4-1.0 volt. Charging promoter particles are present at the nip between the photosensitive member and the charging member to injection-charge the photosensitive member. Because of the selection of the charge-transporting material and the presence of the charging promoter particles, the photosensitive member can be effectively injection-charged.

摘要： A method and apparatus for forming an image reduce the processing load on a video controller. A CPU causes a counter to start counting the optical beam detection signals of a photodiode in accordance with a signal which indicates the leading edge of a sheet of recording paper received from a TOP sensor. Comparators compare the count value issued from the counter with the values set by the CPU at registers. Based on the comparison result, an F/F sets Q output. Thus, a BD signal is issued through a gate during a period specified by the values set at the registers. The use of the BD signal reduces the processing load on the video controller which generates and transfers an image signal.

摘要： An air bag deployment apparatus for a seat back includes a support bracket and deployment strap. The support bracket has a reaction surface which extends behind the air bag inflator. The deployment strap is sewn to the inside of a seam line, a trim cover, and extends from the front of the seat along the side to an aperture formed in a foam cushion. The strap passes through the cushion to the reaction surface of the support bracket. The support bracket may be formed with panels which parallel the alignment of the strap. The strap is supported without slack to reduce the gas force necessary for stable deployment of the air bag.

摘要： A delay circuit includes a charge/discharge circuit and a logic circuit. The charge/discharge circuit is used to moderate a slope of change of an input signal. The logic circuit receives a charge/discharge signal output from the charge/discharge circuit, and is used to change an output signal of the logic circuit when the charge/discharge signal exceeds a threshold value of the logic circuit. A time constant in the charge/discharge circuit is varied in accordance with the change in the output signal of the logic circuit. This serves to alleviate the malfunctioning and timing constraint problems that occur after the threshold value of the next-stage circuit (logic circuit) is exceeded.
