    • Method for informing a mobile terminal (MN), which is located in a first cell, on system information of a second cell. In particular, pointers to the system information are transmitted from the base station of the first cell to the mobile node, while the mobile node is located in the first cell. The MN processes said pointer, comprising e.g. information on the transmission format and timing of system information in the second cell. Using an acquisition gap assigned by the network, the MN changes the frequency to the second frequency so as to acquire the system information based on the previously received scheduling information. Thus, the acquisition time for important system information may be reduced, as no Master Information Block on the second frequency has to be processed first, in order to acquire the system information.

    • Disclosed are a radio communication terminal device for reducing a power consumption needed for releasing an RRC Connection after a position registration, a network device, a mobile communication system and a position registering method. In this position registering method, in case the RRC state of a UE is in an Idle state at ST501, the UE sets flag=1, whereas the RRC Connection is established between the UE and a UTRAN. The flag set at ST501 is sent at ST504 to the UTRAN, and the flag received by the UTRAN is stored at ST505. At ST507, an RA Update Accept received by the UTRAN is sent to the UE, and the RRC Connection is released in case the value of the flag stored at ST505 is 1. When the UE receives a DOWNLINK DIRECT TRANSFER, on the other hand, the RRC Connection is released in case the value of the flag set at ST501 is 1.

    • Disclosed is a technique to enable a communication node to acquire predetermined newer information (e.g., configuration information) held by another communication node while minimizing power consumption by communication nodes. According to the technique, when receiving a request for configuration information from a new MTC device 100, a MME 220 checks whether an existing MTC device 110 as a request target for configuration information connects or not. When the existing MTC device does not connect, the new MTC device is notified of time information (e.g., next connection time of the existing MTC device, a next connection time of a new MTC device or a next connection time zone of the new MTC device). This time information enables the new MTC device to specify a time after the MME acquires and holds the configuration information from the existing MTC device. The new MTC device reconnects based on this time information, whereby the new MTC device can acquire desired configuration information from the MME.
