摘要： Admission control is performed on a forward link shared packet data channel based on the measured delay per unit of data transmitted on the channel or the data throughput on the channel. In another embodiment, statistical analyses of channel quality metrics received at a base station are compared to the data rate used to serve mobile stations on the packet data channel to perform admission control. In any case, admission control may be performed for a new call setup request, hard handoff or virtual handoff. Admission control may be performed independently for a plurality of Quality of Service (QoS) flow categories, such as real time, best effort, rate sensitive, or QoS categories defined by cost. Users may be allocated among QoS flow categories as necessary to maintain performance.

In one design, the base station receives third control information from the first UE(s) and fourth control information from the second UE(s) on a third system bandwidth. The base station receives data from the first UE(s) on the third system bandwidth and receives data from the second UE(s) on a fourth system bandwidth, which overlaps the third system bandwidth.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implicitly linking aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reports to CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. In an aspect, the UE may be instructed to report on specific CSI-RS resource(s) via explicit signaling in the UE grant. Other aspects disclose techniques for implicit CSI-RS resource selection by the UE that require fewer signaling resources. Instead of explicitly signaling CSI-RS resources to the UE, the UE may implicitly select CSI-RS resource for CSI feedback reporting based on information known to the UE, e.g. a subframe on which a reporting request is received. This may reduce the impact of the additional signaling in the UE grant.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses are provided for determining cyclic shift (CS) values and/or orthogonal cover codes (OCC) for a plurality of demodulation reference signals (DM-RS) transmitted over multiple layers in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. A CS index can be received from a base station in downlink control information (DCI) or similar signaling. Based at least in part on the CS index, CS values for the plurality of DM-RSs can be determined. In addition, OCC can be explicitly signaled or similarly determined from the CS index and/or a configured CS value received from a higher layer. In addition, controlling assignment of CS indices and/or OCC can facilitate providing orthogonality for communications from paired devices in multiuser MIMO.
