    • An organic EL display panel having display pixels with an improved aperture ratio. A display pixel includes a control electrode line coupled to control electrodes of first and second transistors and a main electrode of a fourth transistor, and a power electrode line provided substantially in parallel with a data line and coupled to a main electrode of the first transistor. Channels of the first and second transistors are formed substantially in parallel with a scan line. A node of the control electrode line for coupling the control electrodes of the first and second transistors is arranged in a direction substantially perpendicular to that of the scan line, and a portion of the control electrode line extended to the main electrode of the fourth transistor is formed substantially in parallel with the power electrode line in a substantially vertical direction, and forms a capacitor together with the power electrode line.

    • An image display and a display panel. The display panel includes data lines for transmitting a data signal corresponding to video signals, scan lines for transmitting select signals, and pixel circuits formed in pixel regions defined by two neighboring data lines and scan lines. The pixel circuit includes a display element and a first transistor having a capacitor coupled between main and control electrodes thereof. The first transistor outputs a current corresponding to the voltage between the main and control electrodes. A second transistor has a control electrode coupled to the control electrode of the first transistor. A first switch delivers the data signal from the data lines to the second transistor in response to the select signal from the current scan line.

    • A circuit and method for driving pixels in an organic electroluminescent display that reduces the number of wirings of a compensation circuit for addressing brightness non-uniformity. The pixel driving circuit includes an organic electroluminescent device that emits light corresponding to an amount of a current being applied. A first transistor is connected to a power supply voltage and applies the current corresponding to a data voltage to the organic electroluminescent device. A first capacitor stores the data voltage, and a threshold voltage compensation unit stores a threshold voltage of the first transistor. A second transistor transmits the data voltage from a data line in response to a selection signal from an nth scan line. A switching unit electrically disconnects a second primary electrode of the first transistor from the organic electroluminescent device while the threshold voltage is stored in the threshold voltage compensation unit in response to a control signal.

The light emitting display includes: a substrate having a display region and a circuit measuring pad region; source and drain electrodes arranged above the display region and a first conductive layer arranged above the circuit measuring pad region on the same layer as the source and drain electrodes; a first insulating layer on the source and drain electrodes and the first conductive layer; first and second via holes formed in the first insulating layer, the first via hole exposing the source or drain electrode, the second via hole exposing the first conductive layer; a pixel electrode contacting the source or drain electrode through the first via hole, and a second conductive layer contacting the first conductive layer through the second via hole; and a pixel defining layer which exposes the pixel electrode and formed on the second conductive layer.
