    • In current Distributed Storage Systems, applications may determine the device on which data shall be stored. The invention provides a method for automatically selecting an individual storage device within a DSS. A method for automatically classifying a node in a network comprises determining data classes, automatically classifying data of said data classes stored on a node, determining the amount of stored data per data class, calculating data dominance values for each of the data classes, receiving a request that indicates a data type according to one of said data classes, and providing said dominance value according to the requested data class. Further, a method for automatically organizing nodes in a network comprises receiving a request for storing data of a particular data type, transmitting the request to storage nodes, receiving from the storage nodes respective dominance values, and selecting the node with the highest dominance value for storing the data.

    • A method determines a path between a first and a radio station of a radio communication system, whereby the radio communications system comprises, in addition to the first and the second radio station, one or more additional radio stations. A frequency band subdivided in to a number of subbands is used in order to communicate between the stations. At least one subband for communicating is assigned to each radio station. The bath extends over one or more of the additional radio stations so that information between the first and the second (AP) radio station can be transmitted over the path. The path is at least partially determined by a radio installation transmits at least path identification information to the first radio station. The radio installation additionally transmits, at least a portion of the radio stations of the path, respective path identification information and radio station identification information from at least one other radio station of the path and/or from the first and/or from the second radio station, and transmits subband information over at least one subband assigned to the at least one radio station, and transmits subband information over at least one subband assigned to the at least one radio corresponding to the radio station identification information.

The planar member is attached to the base when the neck portions are received in corresponding retaining holes.
