摘要： A bonded, direct fixation fastener as supportive structure for a rail on a railroad bed comprising: a substantially rectangular rail plate, wherein the rail plate has a generally horizontal center portion having a lower face and an upper face and wherein the rail plate defines an outer perimeter having a face defining a first angle to the railroad bed, the rail plate having attachment means to attach to the rail; a substantially rectangular bottom member defines an inner perimeter having a face defining a second angle to the railroad bed; and a substantially rectangular elastomeric portion disposed between, and bonded to each of, the outer perimeter and face of the rail plate and the inner perimeter and face of the bottom member.

摘要： A mount for a railroad rail having an inner side turned toward another such rail and an outer side turned away from the other rail has a one-piece base supported on the ground under the one rail and formed with an upwardly open recess having inner and outer base flanks respectively generally under and parallel to the inner and outer sides, the outer base flank being formed as an inwardly overhanging ridge. An insert attached to the rail and received in the recess has respective inner and outer insert edges, the former of which is overhung by the ridge. An elastomeric body lies between the inner flank and inner edge and supports the insert in the base. Due to the overhang of the base edge, it is possible to make the base in one piece at least outward from a location underneath the rail. Thus there is no need to make the base from two parts split along a horizontal plane and requiring tedious assembly in the field.

摘要： A unitized insulating element for use with a steel cross tie is provided. The insulating element is operative to electrically insulate the rail from the steel tie, from retaining elements associated with the tie which prevent lateral movement of the rail relative to the tie and from rail anchors which prevent longitudinal movement of the rail relative to the tie. The insulating element permits use of the rail as an on-line signal control conveying device when steel ties are used and is configured as a tie plate substitute from providing an inwardly-directed cant for the rail to be retained thereon.
