摘要： A ladder is provided having a base section and a fly section slidably coupled with the base section. The base section includes a first pair of spaced apart rails and a first plurality of rungs extending between and coupled to the first pair of spaced apart rails. The fly section includes a second pair of spaced apart rails and a second plurality of rungs extending between and coupled to the second pair of spaced apart rails. The various rungs may be coupled with their associated rails in an offset relationship such that they are not centered along a longitudinal center axis line of the rails. A rung lock device may be used which includes an arm pivotally coupled with the base section and configured to selectively engage various rungs of the second plurality of rungs to maintain the fly section in a desired position relative to the base section.

摘要： A ladder and ladder accessory are provided including an accessory that may be coupled to the ladder in multiple configurations and serve multiple purposes. In one embodiment, a pair of components are each selectively coupled with associated rails of a ladder in a first, stored state, and a second, walkthrough state. When in the walkthrough state, the components extend upwards from and above the rails so that a user may gasp the components and step between the components when transitioning from the ladder to an elevated surface (e.g., a roof) or vice versa. In another embodiment, the components may be coupled to the ladder such that they extend in a direction that is substantially transverse to a plane through which the rails extend. When in this transverse orientation, the components may be used as a stand-off device.

In one embodiment, a foot is pivotal relative to a leg or rail of the ladder between a first position and at least a second position. A biasing force is applied to the foot to maintain the foot in either of the user-selected positions until a force is applied to pivot the foot to another position. In one embodiment, the foot mechanism maintaining the foot at a desired position may include a pair of pins that couple the foot to another component (e.g., a housing member, an insert member or a rail of the ladder). At least one of the two pins may be displaceable relative to the other pin during pivoting of the foot.

A shoe with a claw that folds to be parallel to the ladder leg and then slides upward with respect to the leg thereby becoming locked into position so that it cannot move away from being parallel so long as weight is applied on the ladder. If the shoe is on an extension, as the shoe slides up, it engages a safety bar that prevents release of the extension.

摘要： A ladder bumper for use with a ladder. Each ladder bumper comprises a generally U-section rail channel and at least one opposing pair of rung slots in legs in the channel. Each ladder bumper further comprises a generally U-section protective pad, wherein the web portion of the U-section provides a pad web planar surface. Preferably, a pad web thickened portion on the pad web includes an angle-setting protrusion (ASP), the ASP including an ASP planar surface, wherein the ASP planar surface and the pad web planar surface subtend a predetermined ASP angle. The protective pad is received over and affixed snugly to the rail channel. In use, the rail channel of each of a pair of ladder bumpers is received over a corresponding one of the ladder rails and the rung slots are received over selected ladder rungs. The ladder bumpers may then be locked in position with U-bolt locks.

In one embodiment, a ladder may include an adjustment mechanism for adjusting, for example, a leveler, a stabilizer, or any two relatively displaceable components of the ladder. 摘要： The Ladder Pad relates but, not limited, to U.S Class 182/107 in the field of safety device for ground-supported ladder. The invention provides ladder rail wells in a pad with an attached anti-kick-out bar which the rails are captured against and the ladder is strapped down against the pad by a ratchet strap. This assemble is further held in place on the ground by ground pins inserted through the pad into the substrate it is placed upon. And if ground pins are not applicable there is antiskid material attached under the ladder pad. For further stabilization arms may be provided which extend from a stored position and also have apertures for ground pins on their outer ends for further ground grip. The invention may also be practiced in a trench situation by assembly and lowering it into the trench.
