摘要： A post-processing apparatus includes a movable portion and an opposing portion that are arranged to be opposite to each other with a conveyance path through which a sheet is conveyed interposed between the movable portion and the opposing portion, and a restricting member that has a holding surface including an abutment surface against which a sheet abuts, is capable of changing a posture between a first posture in which the holding surface closes the conveyance path and a second posture in which a clearance is formed in at least part of the conveyance path and is attached to a side where the opposing portion is located with respect to the conveyance path, wherein the movable portion processes a sheet positioned at the abutment surface by the restricting member having the first posture by moving toward the opposing portion.

The blocking member is rotated by being pushed by the sheet against an urging force of a positioning unit that positions the blocking member to be in the standby position. The blocking member is rotatable to be in a sheet-passage-allowing orientation in which the sheet is allowed to pass. When a trailing end of the sheet that is being conveyed has passed the blocking member, the blocking member that is in the sheet-passage-allowing orientation rotates in a same direction as a sheet conveyance direction and is positioned to be in a standby position.

The preventive portion is arranged so as to be separated upwardly from the manual bypass tray to prevent the sheet on the manual bypass tray from uplifting.

摘要： A sheet width aligning device includes an elevator tray, a pair of guides, and a pinion. The pinion is rotatably supported by inserting a shaft portion into a shaft hole formed in the pinion. The shaft portion projects from the elevator tray. The sheet width aligning device is configured to move the pair of guides so as to increase or decrease the distance between the guides in operative association with the pair of racks meshed with the pinion. The sheet width aligning device includes a pressing mechanism. The pressing mechanism is provided on the back face side of the elevator tray and includes an abutment member that abuts against the pinion. The pressing mechanism separates the abutment member away from the pinion at the lower position, while abutting the abutment member against the pinion to press the pinion at the upper position.
