摘要： An apparatus for decorating articles has at least one article carrier which is movable along a transport path through treatment stations and which is connected to a vacuum source at least over a portion of the transport path for holding an article in the article carrier by the vacuum. A stationary vacuum duct is arranged along at least a portion of the transport path, to make a connection between the vacuum source and the article carrier. At least one vacuum conduit in the article carrier is connected to the vacuum duct by way of a connecting conduit which is connected to the vacuum conduit in the article carrier and which is moved along the transport path. The vacuum duct is provided with an opening for the passage of the vacuum to the connecting conduit, the opening being movable along the vacuum duct.

摘要： A method and a device exactly aligning a printing image relative to a geometrically correct print position of a printing machine for printing carriers, for example CDs, which employ use of a printing foil having a hole system which has been aligned relative to the image center and being secured to a printing screen having locating bores which have been aligned relative to the image center and which correspond to locating pins of the printing machine which have been aligned relative to the carrier center. In accordance with the method, (a) the printing foil is provided with at least two registration marks which have been aligned relative to the image center and is secured to the printing screen in a substantially centered relationship, (b) the printing screen is movably secured to an optical centering device comprising master pins which are positionally identical to the locating pins of the printing machine, (c) the registration marks of the printing foil are brought in register with positionally identical registration marks of the optical centering device, (d) centering elements are slid onto the master pins with an accurate fit, and (e) the master pins provided with the centering elements are made to engage the radially enlarged locating bores of the printing screen with clearance and are secured in their centered positions.

A magnetic mounting assembly is provided for mounting the top plate with respect to the lower plate to provide for easy removal of the top plate for cleaning and replacement.

摘要： An apparatus and process for the manufacture of silk-screens is provided for use in the printing of halftones, e.g. in a four color printing process. The angle at which the mesh of a silk-screen should be relative to the screen frame to eliminate or at least minimize or localize moire' is predetermined for each of the color film separations. This angle is then carried to stretching apparatus for the woven fabric from which the silk-screens are to be made. The stretching appararatus has a table that is provided with a plurality of rotatable members. A screen frame is placed on each of the rotatable members and the rotable member is rotated to the angle determined by the pre-registration apparatus. The fabric is stretched to the desired tension and the screen frames having been provided at the desired angles are adhered to the stretched fabric, resulting in the mesh in each silk-screen being at the correct angle with respect to the screen frame.
