The etching process or system utilizes a mixture of phosphoric acid and a fluoborate anion containing compound such as fluoboric acid. The etch rate of the silicon nitride relative to the etch rate of the silicon oxide can be controlled to the desired etch rate by varying the temperature of the etchant and/or adjusting the ratio mixture of the phosphoric acid and the fluoboric acid.

摘要： An arc-seam welding procedure to join two thin sheets in T relationship wherein two infrared sensors disposed on opposite sides of the vertical member detect any welding puddle heat unbalance from the underside. An unbalance signal from the sensors moves the welding heat source transversely across the puddle during its progressive movement along the joint, to restore the heat balance on the other side of the joint. The arrangement avoids the need for costly chill bars, and is especially suitable where the vertical member is corrugated or sinusoidal in plan view.

摘要： In a suspension and pickoff system for an electrostatic gyroscope, a sensing circuit substantially decouples position signal information from a control signal for utilization by two parallel feedback servomechanism paths which respectively separate the position signal into high and low frequency signal components. The composite output from the two paths is selectively disconnected from position control to allow the control signal output from an amplifier to die out. For a preselected portion of each period of time that the composite output is disconnected, the position signal information from the sensing circuit is sampled and held in one of the paths for use when the composite output is again connected into servocontrol.

摘要： A deployable parabolic antenna is formed of a plurality of resilient rings disposed concentrically about an extensible boom wherein the outer ring is tied by a first group of tension members to the top of the boom and, also, by a second group of tension members tied to the bottom of the pole, thereby rigidly supporting the outer ring with respect to the pole. The inner rings are tied to the bottom of the pole by respective groups of tension members and to each other and the outer ring by a netlike metallic fabric member which is stretched to form a concave surface that approaches the shape of a paraboloid when fully deployed. Since the rings are resilient and the fabric and tension members are flexible, the assembly can be folded about the boom to form a compact mass for storage.
