摘要： An image display device includes a front substrate having anodes and phosphors, a rear substrate having plural video signal wirings or lines and plural electron sources each formed on a corresponding one of the video signal wirings or lines, and disposed to face the front substrate with a predetermined spacing between the front and rear substrates and a support member which is sandwiched between the front and rear substrates, surrounds a display area formed therebetween and maintains the predetermined spacing. The support member is includes long-side portions of a uniform width disposed on long sides of the front substrate and short-side portions of a uniform width disposed on short sides of the front substrate. At least the long-side portions are curved convexly toward an outside of the display area.

摘要： There is disclosed an FED (field emission display) capable of supplying an anode voltage, which is a high voltage, to an anode substrate with high reliability. A high voltage introduction button is sealed to a sealing plate, in which a contact spring is attached to the high voltage introduction button by spot welding. The high voltage introduction button has a flat portion connected to the contact spring, a sealing portion sealed to the glass substrate, and an external terminal to be connected to an external power source. The contact spring contacts an anode terminal of an anode substrate with an appropriate contact pressure, by a spring force from an arm portion of the contact spring. The anode terminal is formed of a conductive film containing metal particles.

摘要： Spacers are fixed on scanning signal lines by a bonding member and conductive bonding member. Since the scanning signal lines and the spacers formed on a back substrate are fixed with the bonding member and the conductive bonding member, electrostatic charge of the spacers can be prevented.
