    • A method of identifying a wafer serial number is provided. First, a wafer having a wafer serial number is provided. Second, an identification procedure is carried out to identify the wafer serial number by means of multiple identification recipes thereby obtaining multiple digit results which correspond to the multiple identification recipes and a specific digit in the wafer serial number. The multiple digit results include at least two of a successful result and an unsuccessful result. Then, the wafer serial number is determined in accordance with the multiple digit results.

    • One embodiment relates to an apparatus for blocking or blurring unwanted image features. The apparatus includes at least a memory, a processor, a browsing application, and an image blocking component. The image blocking component is configured to block or blur images with unwanted image features before the images are displayed by the browsing application. Another embodiment relates to a process for blocking or blurring unwanted image features prior to displaying web pages. A web page including an image is received, but it is not displayed the image until after checking the image for unwanted image features. Image features are extracted from the image, and the extracted image features are compared against features in a customized image feature database. The image is displayed if no match is found during said comparison. The image is blocked or blurred if a match is found during said comparison. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

    • A user is able to save his operating system settings to a web server. The user may then download these known, clean operating system over the Internet to the same computer in the future or to a different computer. Or, a user is able to save a known, good restore point to a secure site on the web. If the user suspects that his computer has been compromised by malware, the user downloads this original restore point from over the Internet. The computer is then restored to a known, good state prior to the malware infection. In addition, an entire operating system is present on a USB drive and the user runs his computer from the USB drive. The USB drive is inserted into a publicly-accessible computer. Drivers and network settings from the computer are installed on the USB drive and the operating system on the USB drive then reboots and executes on the computer.

    • A shock isolation system for electronic devices includes a first baseboard, a second baseboard and a plurality of helical springs interposed transversely between the first baseboard and the second baseboard. The helical springs can deform horizontally and vertically to isolate horizontal and vertical vibration-impact on the electronic devices. The first baseboard and the second baseboard further are bridged by a plurality of damping elements, which have damping characteristics to dissipate kinetic energy and reduce the vibration amplitude and instantaneous acceleration between the first baseboard and the second baseboard, thereby to enhancing the composite effect. The first baseboard further has a plurality of buffer struts to separate the first baseboard and the second baseboard, and prevent the second baseboard from directly hitting the first baseboard.
