摘要： A color copy machine having a reading portion and a printing portion outputs a chart for color correction. A result of reading by the reading portion of the same machine of patch for each output color of the chart, is converted into color component data for a pixel. The color component data are summed for a number of pixels of the patches. Data is derived by dividing the sum by a number of pixels. With this data, content of a production color table used in the binarization process is updated. By this, the image to be printed by the printing portion on a basis of a result of reading of the reading portion, matches with the result of reading. As a result, the color of the original image can be reproduced with high fidelity.
