    • There is provided a vertical vibrator according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The vertical vibrator may include: a casing having an inner space of a predetermined size formed therein and a step portion protruded to be stepped from an upper edge thereof; a magnetic unit including a yoke disposed in the inner space of the casing and a magnet fixed by being magnetized on a closed inner surface of the yoke in a vertical direction; an elastic member including an outer ground portion fixed to the step portion and an inner ground portion fixed to the magnetic unit; and a coil for generating vibrations disposed on the lower portion of the magnetic unit and generating electromagnetic force by interaction with the magnetic unit when power is applied thereto.

    • A multi-actuator selectively performing audio and vibration generating operations is made by injection molding process of inserting a spring into a case forming an exterior appearance of the multi-actuator. The spring is inserted into the case using an exterior structure integrally formed with the spring, and the exterior structure is cut off from the case after the injection process is finished. In the method of inserting the spring into the case, a plurality of guide holes are formed on the exterior structure and outside springs in a spring array state, and the springs are disposed and inserted into the injection-molding in the array state so that a productivity is improved. Since interference between the springs and the injection molding, deformation of the springs is prevented.

    • A method of correcting a resonance frequency in a vibration speaker generating acoustic sound and vibration includes adjusting the actual resonance frequency to a higher resonance frequency by limiting a predetermined portion of an elastic member installed in a case to an inside of the case to increase the resonance frequency when the actual resonance frequency is not identical to nor less than the desired resonance frequency, thereby adjusting an actual resonance frequency to be identical to a desired resonance frequency, and adjusting the actual resonance frequency to a lower resonance frequency by cutting off another predetermined portion of the elastic member to decrease the resonance frequency when the actual resonance frequency is not identical to nor greater than the desired resonance frequency, thereby adjusting an actual resonance frequency to be identical to a desired resonance frequency. In the vibration speaker, the actual resonance frequency is corrected to the desired resonance frequency, thereby reducing a defect of the vibration speaker.

    • A vibration speaker is configured to selectively supply an input current in accordance with the frequency of the input current in response to an incoming call, thereby allowing the incoming call to be recognized by sound or vibrations using a single element. The vibration speaker includes a hollow housing with open ends with a vibrating plate attached at one end a shield plate at the other end. A yoke is fixedly mounted to an inner peripheral surface of the housing by plate springs, and a vertically polarized magnet is mounted on the yoke. A voice coil having an upper end fixed to the vibrating plate has a lower end arranged adjacent to the magnet, and a vibration coil is mounted on the shield plate so as to face the magnet. Damping means at the inner peripheral surface of the housing provide damping to the plate springs, thereby reducing the amplitude of vibrations.

    • The present invention relates to a multi-function actuator, in which a voice coil vibrates a sound-generating diaphragm in response to an audio signal. A vibration coil is placed on a central axis coaxial with the voice coil for generating vibration in response to the audio signal or a vibration signal. A vibration unit includes a magnet for generating a magnetic field to both of the voice coil and the vibration coil and a yoke having a predetermined mass. The vibration unit is vertically vibrated by an electromagnetic force produced from at least one of the voice coil and the vibration coil. A switch selectively applies the audio signal to the vibration coil. The multi-function actuator can prevent the vibration of the vibration unit during sound generation in response to user's switch selection.
