摘要： A metal working oil composition having a kinematic viscosity of 20 cSt or less at a temperature of 40.degree. C. is herein disclosed which comprises (A) 10% by weight or more of an n-.alpha.-olefin (e.g. 1-hexadecene) and (B) an overbased sulfonate having a total base number of 350 mg.multidot.KOH/g or more in such an amount that the total base number of the composition is 12.5 mg.multidot.KOH/g or more. The metal working oil composition is particularly suitable as a press lubricant for aluminum alloys, has an excellent mass workability, and is more excellent in coating workability, lubricity, degreasing properties, weldability, etc. than a conventional solid coating type lubricant.

A particle surface has raised parts of striped pattern extending almost continuously in a plurality of directions while being superposed on one another, with a surface formed with raised parts of striped pattern occupying 80% or more of the whole surface of a particle. Depths of grooves between the adjacent raised parts are 0.05 μm or more and 0.2 μm or less, average surface roughness Ra is 0.1 μm or more and 0.3 μm or less, roundness is 0.90 or more, and average particle size is 151 μm or more and 100 μm or less, and a carrier core material thus constituted is coated with resin. Thus, the carrier for two-component electrophotographic developer is prepared.

摘要： A negative ion generator, which can suppress positive ion generation, permits ready control of a quantity of generated negative ions and permits a size and thickness reduction. The negative ion generator is of an electron emission type in which, for negative ion generation, electrons are emitted into the air by impressing a negative high voltage on a stylus electric discharge electrode. A piezoelectric transformer is used for amplifying a non-rectified drive voltage from a transformer drive circuit. As a result of rectification of the AC high voltage from the piezoelectric transformer, a negative high voltage is obtained, which is impressed on the stylus electric discharge electrode for electron emission therefrom, thereby generating negative ions in the air.
