    • A variable pressure regulator control device comprising a valve body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a fluid pressure-sensing chamber, and a valve seat in fluid communication with said inlet and defining an opening into said chamber, a resilient member having an outer edge and a self-restoring wall of the chamber which is responsive to pressure in said chamber, a valve stem extending through said chamber towards the valve seat, a valve element cooperating with said valve seat, said valve element being located between the valve seat and said fluid inlet, an adjuster mounted to said valve body in a position to deflect said resilient member, thereby moving the valve element away from the valve seat while said member flexes in response to pressure changes within said chamber to control the position of the valve element with respect to the valve seat, wherein said valve body includes a base incorporating said inlet, said outlet, and said valve seat, a retainer mounted atop said base, said retainer having an aperture for receiving said adjuster, and a cover fixing said adjuster for rotation therewith such that deflection of said resilient member is capable of being adjusted by rotation of said cover.

    • A variable device for regulating the outlet pressure of a fluid from a valve body, includes a pressure-sensing chamber having a wall formed by a resilient self-restoring diaphragm which is responsive to pressure in the chamber. A valve element connected to the diaphragm controls flow into the chamber. Increased pressure in the chamber decreases the flow into the chamber and decreasing pressure increases flow whereby fluid flow out from the chamber is maintained at a desired pressure. The outlet pressure is adjusted by deflecting the diaphragm in a direction to open the valve while permitting a section of the diaphragm connected to the valve member to remain responsive to the pressure in the chamber. An adjustment cover is provided to adjustably deflect the diaphragm and includes a catch mechanism to allow adjustment of the fluid outlet pressures and also retain the device at a desired value. An indicator arrangement may be provided to visually indicate the fluid outlet pressure.

    • A container (10) for shipping products has opposed end walls (11, 12) and opposed side walls (13, 14), each having an inner wall panel (16, 17 and 20, 21, respectively) and an outer wall panel (18, 19 and 22, 23, respectively) defining double thickness walls. The outer wall panels in the side walls are disposed orthogonally to the outer wall panels in the end walls to define a rectangular or square outer container configuration, and extension panels (25a, 25b) on opposite side edges of a first pair (16, 17) of the inner wall panels extend diagonally across interior corners of the container to define with the inner wall panels an octagonal inner container configuration. In one embodiment (10′), a reinforcing panel (61) is formed in two of the inner wall panels, and is foldable to a position between the inner and outer wall panels, at the top thereof, to reinforce the walls of the container. A blank (B, B′) for making the container (10, 10′) is also disclosed.

    • A stackable container has a bottom panel, upstanding sidewalls, upstanding end walls, and an open top. According to one aspect of the invention, narrow reinforcing flaps are attached to the upper edge of at least one of the side and end walls, defining a stacking ledge and reinforcing the walls against outward bulge. The reinforcing flaps extend over only a small portion of the height of the side or end wall, and corner post flaps extend from opposite ends of the reinforcing flaps, extending diagonally across interior corners of the container. According to another aspect, the side and/or end walls lean inwardly, defining a narrower footprint at the top of the container than at the bottom. In a specific embodiment one of the walls leans in more than the other. According to a further aspect, an indexing and aligning tab extends upwardly from an upper edge of the container, and a complementary notch is formed in a lower edge for receiving the tab when the containers are stacked. According to a still further aspect, stacking tabs extend upwardly from the upper edge of the container, and slots are formed in the bottom panel for receiving the tabs when containers are stacked. Locking flaps extend into the slots to frictionally engage and hold the tabs.
