摘要： A bobbin tube delivery assembly is disclosed for the delivery of bobbin tubes in an axially upright position to a tube donning apparatus servicing a textile machine, wherein a pivotable tube cage having an open side, top and bottom receives tubes one at a time, and pivots to an indexed tube discharge position over one of a plurality of pegs on a moving conveyor; during receipt and pivoting, the cage is closable at the open side and bottom sufficiently to retain a tube therewithin by means of a spring biased gate which at these times overextends the open side, a bottom flange which at these times underlays the open bottom and is attached to the gate; the cage is openable at the tube discharge position upon pivoting thereto by abutment of a ''''key'''' flange element attached to the gate with some fixed stationary element such as a flange or bracket fixed to a frame wall, and thereat the tube falls upon a peg passing therebeneath and is carried by the conveyor out through the open side of the cage to the donning apparatus.

摘要： An improved bobbin tube feed apparatus is disclosed comprising a slope-walled hopper for containing tubes in an axially horizontal orientation and having at its bottom a slot of size sufficient to present a plurality of tubes exceeding three to a cradle therebeneath. The cradle has a convex nonslippery surface and is adapted for pivotable traverse across the hopper slot and therebeyond to a tube discharge position, and is formed with a receiving slot therethrough intermediate its ends for receiving one tube in horizontal position from the hopper. The received tube is retained within the cradle slot during traverse by a fixed member therebeneath which terminates at the discharge position and fixed guide members on each side of the cradle below the hopper slot and extending therebeyond to overextend the discharge position. Strips of nonslippery material are provided on the convex confronting face of the cradle to aid in the deposition of a tube in the cradle slot.

摘要： A bobbin tube cage for receiving bobbin tubes dropped therein, for moving tubes so received laterally in an upright position, and for depositing such tubes so moved onto conveyor pegs in an upright position is disclosed and, preferably, comprises an elongate rectangular structure having a substantially open fourth side, a bottom partially open between one or more inwardly directed flanges extending along the bottom from one or more of the facing closed sides, and in particular a guide means having a normally biased swingable gate means fixed for pivotable movement to and outwardly from one of the closed facing sides and having an inwardly directed arcuate convexity partially overlying the lower portion of the open side. The guide means also includes a guide plate fixed between the closed facing sides adjacent their top and across the open side, which guide plate extends downwardly a distance sufficient to somewhat overlap the top portion of a bobbin tube residing within the cage means.
