As a non-limiting example, the at least one health monitoring device or system is a portable, wrist blood pressure and heart rate monitoring device that is manufactured and/or programmed to measure or obtain blood pressure and heart rate of the user right at or near the massage chair when the user is preferably positioned on the massage chair.

This design allows for fast response and smooth pressure control. In an embodiment of an aspect of the present invention, a system for controlling air massage pressure using variable frequency includes at least one air compressor, a master control board that includes or is equivalent to a variable frequency controller and a controller interface associated with the variable frequency controller, and a pressure sensor.
