    • According to various embodiments of the invention, a system and method are provided for enabling interaction with, manipulation of, and control of depth-assigned content in depth-enhanced pictures. Depth-assigned content can be assigned to a specified depth value. When a depth-enhanced picture is refocused at a focus depth substantially different from the specified assigned depth value, the depth-assigned content may be omitted, grayed out, blurred, or otherwise visually distinguished. In this manner, content associated with an in-focus image element can be visually distinguished from content associated with an out-of-focus image element. For example, in at least one embodiment, depth-assigned content is visible only when an image element associated with the content is in focus (or nearly in focus). According to various embodiments of the invention, many different types of interactions are facilitated among depth-assigned content, depth-enhanced pictures, and other content.

    • A mask packet is provided with bits in a ONE state for all predictable bit positions and with a ZERO state for all unpredictable ones. All predictable bit positions of the new data packet are brought into a ZERO state if an actual bit state matches the predicted bit state and into a ONE state if the actual bit state does not. A processed packet is generated by applying an AND operation between the new data packet and the mask packet to change all unpredictable bits to a ZERO state. A series of counters is provided by calculating the number of bits in the processed packet between the first bit and the first bit with a state ONE; and between the following bits with a state ONE and between the last bit with a state ONE and the last bit in the processed packet. The counters are stored or transmitted.

    • The invention provides an armoured cable assembly (10) which includes a flexible cable (12), a plurality of first armour elements (14), and a plurality of second armour elements (20). The flexible cable (12) is received within a bore (16, 28) in each of the armour elements (14, 20), which are threaded in alternate manner on the flexible cable (12). A ball and socket joint is established between adjacent armour elements (14, 20). Each of the second armour elements (20) includes a cylindrical portion (22) between first and second arcuate or hemispherical ends (24), each end (24) being adapted to provide the ball of the ball and socket joint. The invention further provides a locking assembly (50) for use with an armoured cable assembly. The locking assembly (50) includes a lock body (52), a lock housing (54), a rotatable locking mechanism (56) operable by a key, a disk (60) rotatable to a first locked position, a second unlocked position and a third position in which the lock housing (54) is removable from the lock body (52), and a movable retaining means (84) to control rotation of the disk (60) to the third position. The invention further provides a lock mount assembly (100) including a housing (102) having a first aperture (104) for receipt of a first cable (108) and a second aperture (106) for receipt of a second cable (110), a rotatable locking mechanism (56) operable by a key, a disk (122) rotatable by the locking mechanism (56) when operated by the key to a first locked position and a second unlocked position, means (134) for engaging the first cable (108) inserted in the first aperture (104) in the first locked position, and means (142) permitting disengagement of the second cable (110) received in the second aperture (106) in the second unlocked position. The invention also provides an anchor (170) which has a housing (172) having a base (174) for securing to a substrate by fastening means (178). An aperture (180) passing through the housing (172) is generally parallel to the base (174). A cover (192) is adapted to restrict access to the fastening means (178) when the aperture (180) is occupied by a cable, chain, shackle or the like.
