摘要： A method for customizing a presentation of a set of digital images provided by a user is disclosed, comprising the steps of selecting an initial presentation format criteria for the set of digital images by the user; analyzing the digital images for additional information; providing to the user a first portable electronic storage medium having the set of digital images stored thereon, the images capable of being presented to the user on a display device in accordance with a first presentation format based upon the initial selected presentation format criteria and the analysis of the additional information; and providing a software program to the user enabling the user to select additional presentation format criteria.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and method for indicating the presence of ancillary data in a header of a JPEG file. The system comprises a JPEG file having an EXIF header and associated image data, and at least one other file of digital data, and a computer. The computer is programmed to scan the JPEG image file for a special indicator in the application marker section of the EXIF header. If the marker is present, the value of marker indicates what type of ancillary digital data is present in the header. For instance, if the marker contains the string EKC-JPEG, then the ancillary data is known to be another JPEG file. Other types of data can be indicated as appropriate. The presence of the ancillary data is then used for the appropriate type of presentation to the user. A reveal icon is then used in presenting the data to indicate whether the ancillary data is another JPEG file, video, audio, sound, document, etc. The user would be presented with the data as appropriate.

摘要： A picture or photo album is provided with an audio module for recording (optionally), storing and playing back audio messages associated with the pictures contained thereby. The audio module responds to predetermined control signals indicating that the album has been opened to a particular page to automatically play back a prerecorded message associated with the information displayed on that page. Such control signals are produced by different combinations or codes of output signals provided by a plurality of photodetectors mounted in the album cover. Radiant energy emitted by one or more light sources, also mounted in the album cover, is optically coupled to the photodetectors by light pipes mounted on or integral with each album page. As each album page is turned, the light pipe on that page de-couples the light source from a photodetector, thereby changing the output code of the photodetectors. According to a preferred embodiment, user-activated light source/photodetector pairs are disposed at spaced locations in the album cover to provide the user with a means for indicating to an audio control system which one of a plurality of different pictures on the same page calls for the playback of an audio message.
