    • A tire has a buttress system which maintains flexible cushioning to support a load on the tire, even after a puncture in the tire. The tire has a tire body with an inner rim attached to a wheel rim with a clamping piece. The buttress system is provided within the tire body and has an upper rib adjacent to the inner side of the tread portion of the tire body and a lower rib attached to the wheel rim. The upper rib is positioned across from the lower rib and is supported by the lower rib when there is a puncture in the tire. A clamping system clamps a doubly acute bead on the inner rim of the tire body to a cupped part of the wheel rim using the clamping piece. A saddle is provided to raise up the anchoring portion of the lower rib of the buttress system.

    • A three-chamber tire comprises a tire body including a bead mounted to a rim and an interior hollow space therewithin to form a service chamber; a low-pressure chamber mounted circumferentially around the interior hollow space of the tire, said low-pressure chamber including a wall, at least part of which is flexible, to form a partitioned, closed space; a high-pressure chamber mounted, adjacent to the low-pressure chamber, circumferentially around the interior hollow space of the tire, the high-pressure chamber including a wall, at least part of which is flexible, to form a partitioned, closed space; a bulge portion mounted to the outer surface of the high-pressure chamber and normally urged, in a direction toward the rim to be pressed; and a control valve for the low-pressure chamber positioned between the service chamber and the low-pressure chamber, in communication with each other, wherein the communication therebetween is cut off when the air pressure of the low-pressure chamber reaches a predetermined pressure; a control valve for the high-pressure chamber enabling the communication between the high-pressure chamber and the low-pressure chamber to be possible depending on the decrease in the air pressure of the service chamber, while enabling the communication to be cut off when the air pressure of the high-pressure chamber reaches a predetermined pressure.

    • An upper body, forming a large deck which is always above water, and a submerged body, which is always submerged in the water, are disposed in the up-and-down direction with a certain distance therebetween. The upper body and submerged body are connected by a plurality of connecting legs. An outer peripheral portion of the upper body is formed to have a stream-lined configuration symmetric in the up-and-down direction. A middle portion of the upper body is formed to have upper and lower surfaces parallel with one another, except for the outer peripheral portion thereof. The connecting leg may include either a single hollow body or a double hollow body. The submerged body is formed to be approximately a T-shaped in vertical cross-section and has a permanent ballast fixed at bottom and side surfaces of the inside portion thereof. A permanent ballast may also be filled in a lateral connecting body which connects adjacent submerged bodies. A thruster is installed for the purpose of keeping the correct posture of the vessel and for controlling the vessel. The thruster is automatically operated by a computer having a specially designed computer program. One of the divided upper bodies or one part of the divided upper body may ascend and descend for the purpose of trafficking of cargo, passengers and crew.
