    • A method and system for operating cells in a network where macro cells and home cells coexist are provided. The method includes determining a first set of neighbor macro Base Stations (BSs) located within a predefined reference distance from a new macro BS to be newly installed, determining a second set of neighbor macro BSs having a cell region overlapping a region of a serving cell served by the new macro BS, detecting at least one sector including a contact with the cell region of the new macro BS within a cell region of each of the neighbor macro BSs in the second set, determining a neighbor cell set including the detected at least one sector, generating an initial Neighbor Relation Table (NRT) by mapping information about each of neighbor cells included in the neighbor cell set, IDentifiers (IDs) of neighbor macro BSs serving the neighbor cells, and a Physical Resource Cell IDentifier (PCID) allocated to each of the neighbor macro BSs, and providing the initial NRT to the new macro BS as neighbor BS information.

    • An apparatus and method for automatically setting a configuration in a home base station. In the method for automatically setting a configuration in a home base station, wireless setting information of a neighbor base station and a neighbor home base station is retrieved through a communication interface for a terminal operation when updated wireless setting information is not received from a network apparatus. The retrieved wireless setting information is transmitted to the network apparatus. An operation is performed by reflecting last wireless setting information when the last wireless setting information is received from the network apparatus. The configuration can be automatically set by monitoring an environment of a neighbor base station without a direct operation of an engineer, transmitting a monitoring result to a server, and receiving FA information and PN code information from the server.

    • A dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) management apparatus includes: a management server having a database, the management server storing system performance information data collected from a network element (NE) system and dynamic user core management information generated by a user's selection in a table of the database; and a client manager to generate system performance information by referring to the dynamic core management information stored in the database and displaying a status information corresponding to the dynamic user core management information. The management for generating/modifying/deleting the new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) by performing the four rules of arithmetic on the different data (multi DB table attributes) can be performed without stopping the system operation such that the requirements for managing the QoS with compound characteristics due to various functions and policies of different standards can be satisfied.
