    • A driving apparatus is provided to smoothly and precisely drive an optical member by using a stepping motor having compact, low cost, and high output characteristics. A driving apparatus includes a stepping motor(M), a guide member, a driven member, and a spring member(21). The stepping motor has a rotor rotatable about a rotary shaft, a lead screw rotated with the rotor, and a rack engaged with the lead screw. The guide member is installed parallel at the lead screw. The driven member is supported by the guide member, and movable in a straight direction. The spring member is mounted on the driven member, and connects the rack to the driven member. The spring member includes an engagement part for pressing a tip of the output member against the driven member.
