    • The present invention relates to a power consumption display device for a household using a smart grid and a control method thereof. The power consumption display device for a household is configured to measure the amount of electricity used by using a power line communication smart grid, display the measured amount of electricity used as the amount of power usage by a month, a week, and a day with the electricity rates and the level of the rates. The power consumption display device is also configured to have three levels for power saving control: additional usage restriction, selective usage restriction, and mandatory usage delay. Accordingly, the present invention saves the power through the three-step control process of the usage restriction, selective usage restriction, and mandatory usage delay, and prepares the amount of electricity used according to a user′s selection and display the amount of electricity used with the electricity rates to enable the user to recognize the amount of electricity and use the electricity appropriately and saves the power.

    • PURPOSE: A method for driving a home distribution board with an emergency ramp is provided to minimize damage due to a power outage by checking the presence of a user and transmitting the presence by a text massage. CONSTITUTION: A first power consumption amount of the common power is metered in a first step(S310). A mean value of the power consumption amount is calculated in a second step by extracting a first time zone having a minimum power consumption amount and a second time zone having a maximum power consumption amount(S312). A power outage detection and cutting part detects a power outage and is connected to a storage battery supplying an emergency power source in a third step. A controller compares a calculated mean value with the first power consumption amount just before power outages in a fourth step(S315). A text message transmission part transmits a text message for informing to a mobile telecommunication terminal if the first power consumption amount is below the calculated mean value(S316,S317).
