    • PURPOSE: A sealing apparatus is provided to reduce frictional force between a rotating body and a fixed body so as to extend the life span of the sealing apparatus and provided optimized sealing performance. CONSTITUTION: A sealing apparatus comprises a ring-shaped body and a side recess(44). The ring-shaped body is installed in a mounting recess. The mounting recess is formed in the circumferential direction in a rotating body(30) rotatably supported to a fixed body. The outer face of the ring-shaped body comes into contact with the fixed body. The side recess is formed one of the other side of the body and the other side of the mounting recess. The external air of the rotating body flows through the side recess into the gap between the other side of the body and the other side of the mounting recess. The external air flows through a gap between one side of the mounting recess and one side of the body and a gap between the outer face of the mounting recess and the inner face of the body.

    • PURPOSE: A packing material and gland packing using the same is provided to improve endurance of a packing material by combining securely a reinforcing wire, a first expansion graphite tape, and a second first expansion graphite tape. CONSTITUTION: A packing material forms a first thread(6) by twisting a first expanded graphite tape(2) of a band type in order to coat a core(5). The packing material forms a second thread(8) by weaving reinforcement material in order to coat around the first thread. The packing material(1) is prepared in order to coat around the second thread by wrapping a second expanded graphite tape(9) of the band type. The swelling clay material is immersed or coated in the main material. The inter-layer cation of the swelling clay material is substituted for as lithium ion and heated at the same time.

Permanent compression set value(KSM 6518) after compressing the rubber composition to 25% is 35% or less. The amine based crosslinking agent is hexamethylene diamine carbamate or triethylenetetramine.

The high-pressure fluid is sealed efficiently against high surface pressure of fluid with making the reinforcing ring of high intensity knitted work or fabric.
