    • The present invention relates to a decorative trim molding and an installation method thereof. The decorative trim molding is composed of two parts of a trim molding member and a base member. Flanges are respectively arranged on both external sides of the base member. Two grooves are installed on the bottom side of the trim molding member and receive the two flanges. A surface between the two grooves on the bottom side of the trim molding is inwardly recessed to receive other parts of the base member except the two flanges. The installation method for the decorative trim molding is completed by installing the base member on a basic surface using a screw or a bolt, wherein the basic surface comprises the external surface of an object to be decorated such as the wall of a building, furniture, or a door frame; fixing the base member; making the bottom side of the trim molding member toward the base member; arranging two grooves on the bottom side of the trim molding member to two flanges of the base member, and slightly pressing the two grooves and the two flanges to install the trim molding member on the base member. According to the present invention, the structure of the trim molding is simple, and the trim molding is easily installed and disassembled, and a decorated surface is prevented from being damaged when the decorative trim molding is separated from the decorated surface.
