    • PURPOSE: A synthetic G-CSF polypeptide containing a polypeptide of sequence number 1 which is able to synthesize human G-CSF(Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor) protein and a polynucleotide encoding the same are provided to produce human G-CSF proteins using an insect cell. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic G-CSF polypeptide contains a polypeptide of sequence number 1. A synthetic G-CSF polynucleotide contains a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide of sequence number 1. The polynucleotide is denoted by sequence number 2. An expression vector contains the polynucleotide. A vector of the expression vector is pIZT/V5 His vector. The insect cell is transformed with the expression vector.

    • A granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor expressed in plants is provided, which granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF) is cheaply mass produced using plants, and has the identical biological properties and function to natural GM-CSF, so that the GM-CSF is useful for treatment of aplastic anemia, intrinsic and idiopathic neutropenia and Crohn's disease. A polynucleotide encoding the granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF) expressed in plants has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1. A recombinant plant expression vector of GM-CSF comprises (i) the polynucleotide of SEQ ID NO:1; (ii) a promoter operately linked to the polynucleotide and forming a RNA molecule in plant cells; and (iii) 3'-untranslated region which results in polyadenylation of 3'-terminal of the RNA molecule in plant cells. The method for producing the GM-CSF in plants comprises the steps of: (a) introducing the recombinant plant expression vector of human growth hormone into plant cells; (b) selecting the transformed plant cells; (c) regenerating the transformed plant cells to produce transformed plants; and (d) producing the GM-CSF in the transformed plants.
