    • PURPOSE: A flake-shaped tin oxide with high purity and a formation method are provided to easily manufacture flake shaped tin oxide by using dissolution-re-deposition of Sn6O4(OH)4 precipitate. CONSTITUTION: A flake-shaped tin oxide is formed by melting-re-precipitation of Sn6O4(OH)4 precipitate. The melting-re-precipitation reaction of the Sn6O4(OH)4 precipitate is performed by the following quation (a) and (b): Sn6O4(OH)4 + 4OH-= 6HSnO2-+ 2H+(omitted)(a) and HSnO2-+ H+= SnO + H2O(b). A formation method of the flake-shaped tin oxide comprises the following steps: precipitating Sn6O4(OH)4 in the alkali region for a SnCl2*2H2O aqueous solution; melting Sn6O4(OH)4 by adding NaOH solution to the Sn6O4(OH)4; and adjusting the pH of the dissolved solution in the second step. The third step includes the following step: adjusting the pH as 11-12.5 by adding HCl.
