    • PURPOSE: A power line filter for defending a HEMP(High altitude ElectroMagnetic Pulse) in a small sized parallel operation having an embedded monitoring system is provided to always monitor the heating of a small sized filter connected in parallel. CONSTITUTION: Power line filters(411-413) are connected to a shielding facility for an electromagnetic pulse in parallel in order to filter an electromagnetic wave. Temperature sensors(421-423) correspond to each of multiple power line filters connected in parallel in order to sense the temperature of the multiple power line filters connected in parallel. A heat radiation silicone is arranged between power line filters and one or more temperature sensors, isolates power line filters and temperature sensors which correspond with each other, and conducts heat. A controller(440) monitors power line filters connected in parallel by processing multiple current measuring parts for measuring a current flowing in multiple power line filters connected in parallel, a temperature value sensed in a temperature sensor, and a current value measured in a current measuring part.

    • A two-step tuning process for resistors and capacitors in an integrated circuit is described. In the first step of the tuning process, an on-chip adjustable resistor is tuned based on an external resistor to obtain a tuned resistor. The value of the tuned resistor is accurate to within a target percentage determined by the external resistor and the design of the adjustable resistor. In the second step, an adjustable capacitor is tuned based on the tuned resistor and an accurate clock to obtain a tuned capacitor having an accurate value. The adjustable capacitor may be tuned such that an RC time constant for the tuned resistor and the tune capacitor is accurate to within a target percentage determined by the accurate clock and the design of the adjustable capacitor. The resistors and capacitors of other circuits on the integrated circuit may be adjusted based on the tuned resistor and the tuned capacitor, respectively.
