    • PURPOSE: A method for treating the surface of metal material is provided to enable the formation of a coating film having excellent heat-radiating property through simple manufacturing processes. CONSTITUTION: An electrode faced to metal material is isolated from the metal material and is immersed in electrolyte. A coating layer is formed on the surface of the metal material by plasma micro discharge on the surface of the metal material. The metal material is aluminum alloy having the silicon content of 0.01-18.0 wt%. The thickness of the coating layer is 0.1-30 micron. If the average illumination of the metal material is less than 20 micron before coating, the average illumination of the metal material is 0.1-20 micron. If the average illumination of the metal material is higher than 20 micron before coating, the average illumination of the coating layer is 0.1-100 micron.

    • The surface of a metal base is electroplated by utilizing an induction codeposition phenomenon using at least one of carbon dioxide and inert gas, an electroplating liquid containing a metal powder dispersed therein, and a surfactant in a supercritical state or a subcritical state. The concentration of the metal in the electroplating liquid is in a saturated or supersaturated state. Accordingly, the dissolution speed of the metal base can be suppressed, and, at the same time, a plating layer having a smooth surface can be formed in a short time by utilizing an induction codeposition phenomenon. The electroplating method can be applied even when the metal base is formed of a metallic thin film provided on a surface of an insulating film provided on the substrate, or even when the metal is copper, zinc, iron, nickel, or cobalt. The above constitution can provide an electroplating method which, in electroplating on the surface of a metal base, can prevent the dissolution of the metal base to realize normal electroplating even in the case of a very thin metal base.

A method of manufacturing a metal ornament comprises: a dipping solution preparing step(S200) of preparing a colloid solution containing gold or platinum with a predetermined particle size and a dipping solution mixed with a predetermined amount of water in a plating bath; a heating step(S210) of heating the dipping solution to a predetermined temperature; an electroplating step(S220) of electroplating a metal ornament with the heated dipping solution; and a heat treatment step(S260) of subjecting the electroplated metal ornament to a heat treatment process at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time. The method further comprises a coating step(S230), a dehydrating step(S240) and a drying step(S250) between the electroplating step and heat treatment step.
