    • PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing (R)-tolterodine is provided to economically synthesize nitrile intermediates having one regioselectivity in a mild condition using a cheap copper catalyst and the (R)-tolterodine which has high enantioselectivity and is a final product. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a compound of chemical formula 1a or chemical formula 1b includes a step of manufacturing a compound of chemical formula 8a or 8b through reduction of a compound of chemical formula 7a or 7b. In chemical formulas, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, an alkly group having a carbon number of 1-4, an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1-4, a hydroxyl group, halide, a carbamoyl group, or a sulfamonyl group.
