    • PURPOSE: A thermosetting solid propellant composition containing tertiary amine and a method for controlling the hardening rate of the composition are provided to increase a time for maintaining the flowage of a propellant by controlling the viscosity increasing rate of the propellant composition. CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting solid propellant composition is based on nitrate-ester-polyether and includes bismuth subsalicylate as a combustion characteristic modifier. The propellant composition further includes tertiary amine. The content of the tertiary amine is 0.005-0.1 weight% based on the total weight of the entire propellant composition. The tertiary amine is selected from a group including 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, 1,5- diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene, and 1,8- diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene.

    • PURPOSE: An explosive composition is provided, to improve the explosion performance as compared with conventionally used ANFO explosive without deterioration of the advantages of a low initiation sensitivity and a simplicity of handling, to allow a charging length by a sustained charge to be assured easily, to reduce the consumption of the explosives and to allow the explosive to be hardly solidified even in high temperature and high humidity periods. CONSTITUTION: The explosive composition has an oil absorption rate of 10.0-20.0 % and a bulk specific gravity of 0.50-0.65, and comprises porous prill ammonium nitrate containing microhollow particles and a fuel oil as an essential component. Preferably the porous prill ammonium nitrate has a hardness of 0.5-10.0 %, and/or the content of the microhollow particles in the porous prill ammonium nitrate is 0.10-0.25 wt%.
