    • The present invention relates to a water softener system including: an ion exchange resin filter that converts raw water, supplied through a raw water supply passage, into soft water through an ion exchange resin filling the ion exchange resin filter; a regenerating tank, which stores a regenerant for regenerating the ion exchange resin and supplies raw water introduced through the raw water supply passage to the ion exchange resin filter to regenerate the ion exchange resin filter; and a passage turning part installed between the regenerating tank and the ion exchange resin filter to change the direction of a passage between the regenerating tank and the ion exchange resin filter. A passage is formed around the regenerating tank such that raw water can be introduced and discharged through only a single outlet formed on the regenerating tank. Accordingly, the passage is simplified to improve space occupation efficiency, thereby saving manufacturing costs.

    • A hardness dropping composition is provided to lower hardness of water which is used for drinking water by removing hardness components easily in raw water with water soluble silica. A hardness dropping composition includes soluble silica powder 44~54wt%, sodium carbonate 2.0~3.0wt% and illite 44~54wt%. A composition ratio of the silica powder and the sodium carbonate in the hardness dropping composition is determined according to the content of sodium carbonate and hardness of the raw water. The hardness of the raw water is 120~200, and sulfate ion concentration of the water is 100~200ppm. The compositional ratio of the raw water is maintained with silica powder 18~22g, sodium carbonate 1~1.2g and illite 18~22g per the water 10.
