    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a hydrogenating catalyst which is highly resistant to damage and sulfurized and a method for using the catalyst in treating a hydrocarbon feed by hydrogenating. CONSTITUTION: The hydrogenating catalyst includes a carrier containing at least 50 wt.% alumina and an organic compound containing at least one hydrogenating metal component and at least one covalent-bonded nitrogen atom and at least one carbonyl part. In addition, the hydrogenating catalyst is manufactured which is sulfurized with a molar ratio between the content of the organic compound and the total content of the hydrogenating metal being at least 0.01:1. In this case, the organic compound is a chemical compound expressed by the formula: (R1R2)N-R3-N(R1'R2')(wherein R1, R2, R1',R2' are independently an alkylene group, having maximum 10 carbon atoms. which is selected from an alkyl, an allyl and the like having maximum 10 carbon to be substituted by a group selected from a carbonyl, an ester, an amide and the like, and R3 is the alkylene group having maximum 10 carbon atoms scissored by -O- and the like. R4 is selected from the same groups as those from which R1 is selected.
