    • According to the present invention, provided is an image formation device which includes: an image formation unit which forms a measurement image on a sheet; a measurement unit which emits light onto the measurement image and measures light reflected from the measurement image; a white reference plate which is movable to a first position opposite to the measurement unit and to a second position separated further from the measurement unit than the first position; a shielding unit which is movable to a third position where the measurement unit blocks light radiated onto the white reference plate and to a fourth position where the measurement unit does not; and a control unit which controls the position of the reference plate and the shielding unit. When the measurement unit controls the white reference plate, the control unit moves the shielding unit to the fourth position and moves the white reference plate to the first position.

    • A color image processing apparatus of the present invention includes: an image forming unit which forms a color image by using a recording material of multiple colors; an image processing unit which performs multiple image processing methods which express multiple kinds of similar gradations; a color measuring unit which measures the color of the color image which is formed by the image forming unit; and a control unit which controls the execution of a mixed color calibration which measures the color of a pattern image which includes a patch image of multiple mixed colors formed by using a recording material of multiple colors, by using the less number of image processing methods than the number of multiple image processing methods which are used in a single color calibration which compensates the representation characteristics of the single color which is formed by the image forming unit, and compensates the representation characteristics of a mixed color image which is formed by the image forming unit by using the result of the color measurement.
