    • Disclosed are an apparatus for generating a terminating resistance of a differential input mode communications, and a differential input mode communications apparatus. The apparatus for generating a terminating resistance of a differential input mode communications comprises a first circuit unit which includes a first ground terminal and operates only when the first ground terminal is connected to ground; a second circuit unit which includes a second ground terminal and operates only when the second ground terminal is connected to the ground; and a terminating resistance generation unit which generates a terminating resistance when one of the first ground terminal and the second ground terminal is not connected and thus only one between the first circuit unit and the second circuit unit operates.

    • PURPOSE: A low-power, high-speed transmission and reception device is provided to reduce power consumption of a transmitting-end circuit by making the terminating resistance value prepared at the transmitting-end circuit and a receiving-end circuit bigger than the characteristic impedance value of a transmission line, and to compensate for the electromagnetic wave reflection and the ISI(Inter-Symbol Interference) generated at the end of the transmitting-end circuit and receiving-end circuit due to the increase of the terminating resistance value. CONSTITUTION: A receiving-end circuit(200) receiving signals from a transmitting-end circuit includes the following parts: a de-skew part(210) performing de-skew operations to remove skew between the data received from the transmitting-end circuit(100) and a clock; a DFE(Decision Feedback Equalization) circuit(220) compensating for the electromagnetic wave reflection and the ISI increase according to the control of a control part(250); a serial/parallel conversion part(230) converting output signals from the DFE circuit to serial/parallel signals and outputs the converted signals; a counter(240) feeding a part of output signals from the serial/parallel conversion part back to the control part; and a control part controlling general operations of the receiving-end circuit.
