    • The present invention relates to a feedback amplifier. The feedback amplifier according to the present invention includes an amplification circuit unit which amplifies a burst packet signal inputted from an input terminal and outputs the amplified signal to an output terminal, a feedback circuit unit which is located between the input terminal and the output terminal and is controlled for applying a fixed resistance value to the signal outputted to the output terminal, a packet signal detecting unit which detects the peak of the burst packet signal from the output terminal and controls whether to apply the fixed resistance value, and a bias circuit unit which generates a bias voltage. The feedback circuit unit controls a gain by determining a feedback resistance value for changing the fixed resistance value according to at least one control signal and receiving a bias voltage.

    • A preamplifier for a receiver is provided to receive light emitted from an external transmitter through plural small light receiving units instead of a light receiving unit, thereby reducing the size of the preamplifier for the receiver and increasing the light receiving rate. A preamplifier for a receiver comprises plural light receiving units(110), a PCB(Printed Circuit Board), and an IC(Integrated Circuit). The plural light receiving units receive light emitted from a remote transmitter and output electric signals based on the received light. The PCB outputs a control signal for controlling a device on the basis of the outputted electric signals. The IC receives the electric signals outputted from the plural light receiving units, and amplifies and outputs the received electric signals.

    • PURPOSE: An AGC(Automatic Gain Control) device of a burst mode optical receiver is provided to generate packets and a reset signal initialized in a packet section by deciding an input signal, thereby exactly deciding whether a signal is generated with a quick response between the packets. CONSTITUTION: A TIA(Trans-Impedance Amplifier)(110) converts a current signal outputted from an optical detector(108) into a voltage signal, and supplies the voltage signal to a bottom level detection unit(120). The bottom level detection unit(120) detects a bottom level of an output from the TIA(110), and informs of whether a signal is generated with sections between sections. An AGC unit(130) generates an AGC signal based on the supplied bottom level, and automatically controls a gain of the signal. The AGC unit(130) inputs the bottom level, and generates a reset signal initialized in a section between the packets.

    • PURPOSE: A burst mode optical receiver is provided to judge an input signal and generate an initial reset signal in its internal portion. CONSTITUTION: A TIA(TransIpedance Amplifier)(4) converts a burst mode signal into a voltage signal. A bottom level detection unit(5) detects a bottom level of the output signal of the TIA(4). An AGC(Automatic Gain Control) unit(6) receives the detected bottom level signal, and automatically adjusts a gain so that the amplitude of the output signal of the TIA(4) is uniformly maintained always. A power level detection unit(7) detects the level of the output signal of the TIA(4), and generates a LOS(Loss Of Signal) or a reset signal.
