    • PURPOSE: A vertical write magnetic head is provided to make a rear shield of a writing head and a reading component shield have the same electric potential, and to allow a rear shield to do a low magnetic resistance coupling. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises the first pole piece and the second pole piece(102) extended from an ABS(Air Bearing Surface) to back gaps(104, 106). The back gaps(104, 106) are grooved at the head, and magnetically connect to a back gap layer(108). The second pole piece(102) includes the second pole piece layer(130) and a pole tip layer(132). An insulation stack(110) is positioned between the first pole piece and the second pole piece(102). The insulation stack(110) is extended from the ABS to the back gap layer(108) and embeds a record coil layer(112). The insulation stack(110) includes insulation layers(114, 116, 118) for insulating a record coil from the first pole and a record coil layer(112) from the second pole(102). An alumina layer is positioned between a coil layer and the ABS.

    • PURPOSE: A magnetic recording head is provided to insert a magnetic anisotropic medium having a predetermined anisotropic direction into a gap, in order to maximize a magnetic field in recording direction. CONSTITUTION: The first pole(23) and the second pole(25) are disposed by being spaced from each other at a predetermined gap(G2). An anisotropic medium(27) is disposed between the first pole(23) and the second pole(25). An information storage medium(30) consists of a substrate(31) and a magnetic layer(33) recorded in predetermined magnetic-recording direction. One section of a head body(21) is divided into two parts. The divided two parts are faced to each other.
