    • PURPOSE: Refrigerant leakage-preventing structure of a heat exchanger for a refrigerator is provided to prevent a refrigerant from leaking minutely between banks of tubes and headers of a condenser joined by thermal fusion and from flowing to the outside of the condenser along the outer wall of tubes. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger for a refrigerator comprises a condenser condensing a refrigerant compressed under high temperature and high pressure from a compressor and an evaporator evaporating the refrigerant decompressed under low temperature and low pressure from an expansion valve. The condenser is formed by interconnection of banks of tubes(118) made of plastic and headers(120) made of plastic through thermal fusion. In refrigerant leakage-preventing structure of the heat exchanger, spiral refrigerant leakage-preventing grooves(115) are formed to the outer walls of the ends of the tubes of the condenser in which a refrigerant comes, to prevent the refrigerant from leaking out between the banks of and the header when the refrigerant compressed from the compressor comes in the condenser. Refrigerant leakage-preventing parts(121) are formed to the header, so that a header injection liquid can close up the refrigerant leakage-preventing grooves while flowing and being cooled in the refrigerant leakage-preventing grooves, in double injection of the header in the refrigerant leakage-preventing grooves.

    • A plastic heat exchanger and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to adhere a plastic heat exchange pipe to a header solidly through a heat fusing jig to improve the reliability of preventing leakage of a refrigerant. A plastic heat exchange pipe(5) is formed by extruding. The plastic heat exchange pipe adhere to a header(6). A joined part of the plastic heat exchange pipe and the header is melted and pressed by a heat fusing jig(8). The header adhered to the plastic heat exchanger pipe is adhered to a header cap. The adhered part of the plastic heat exchange pipe and the header has fusing beads(6a) melted by heat together with the plastic heat exchange pipe to solidify the combination, and melted matter inflow grooves(6b) formed along an outer peripheral surface of the fusing beads for introducing the melted matter that the adhered part of the plastic heat exchange pipe and the header is melted.
