    • PURPOSE: A heat exchange plate and a laminated type heat exchanger using the same are provided to achieve improved performance of heat exchange, while allowing for ease of connection between the expansion valve and refrigerant pipe. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger comprises a plurality of flat tubes and heat transfer fins stacked alternately with each other. A heat exchange plate(200) constituting the flat tube, comprises the first hole cup(201), the second hole cup(202) and the third hole cup(203) formed in the widthwise direction of the heat exchange plate. The heat exchange plate has an inner surface on which an upper U-turn channel(212) and a lower U-turn channel(214) are formed in such a manner that the upper and lower U-turn channels are communicated to the first and third hole cups by a separator bead(210) arranged in a vertical direction and not communicated to the second hole cup.

    • PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided which is formed from a plurality of contiguous plate members joined by tab members and which is not subjected to a tab folding operation after the heat exchanger has been formed and a heat exchanger core is provided in which the weight has been reduced. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger formed from a plurality of adjacent, contiguous plate members is disclosed. The plate members are joined together by a first and second set of tabs, the tabs being configured to bend at predefined locations. The plates are folded in a bellows-like fashion to form a heat exchanger core. The bend zones provide proper plate-to-plate contact when forming the plate tubes as well as proper fin height spacing between adjacent pairs of plate tubes.
