    • Discloses is a drying unit of a food waste treatment apparatus, capable of condensing and circulating steam. The drying unit of a food waste treatment apparatus according to the present invention condenses and discharges part of steam, which is generated when drying food waste, to a drainage side and reintroduces part of the steam without condensation into a drum instead of discharging the steam to the outside. That is, the steam containing malodors is not discharged but circulated and thus a separate filter for removing the malodors contained in the steam is not necessary. Also, malodors at the drainage side are prevented from flowing backward by a trap and thus a separate filter is not necessary. Therefore, costs are reduced and environmental pollution is prevented. In addition, the steam reintroduced into the drum is dry steam containing a relatively small amount of moisture and thus can swiftly absorb moisture from food waste. Therefore, drying efficiency is improved.
