    • The present invention relates to an air separating apparatus including a liquid air storage tank which shortens time to approach normal driving status by minimizing temperature change of a heat exchanger during maneuver of the air separating apparatus and prevents damage of the heat exchanger. The present invention comprises: an air separator which includes a refinement tub lower tower including a liquid air storage unit and a liquid oxygen storage unit in the lower part and a refinement tub upper tower which separates liquid nitrogen from liquid oxygen from air through heat exchange of liquid air and liquid oxygen supplied from the refinement lower tower; a heat exchanger which obtains low temperature liquid air supplied to the refinement lower tower of the air separator through heat exchange of room temperature compressed air supplied from an air compressor, low temperature liquid oxygen discharged from the air separator, liquid nitrogen and impure nitrogen; and a liquid air storage tank for supplying liquid air supplied to the refinement upper tower by storing low temperature liquid air discharged from the heat exchanger in the refinement lower tower of the air separating apparatus. In addition, a level detector is installed in the liquid air storage unit of the refinement lower tower for detecting level of liquid air; a level detector is installed in the liquid oxygen storage unit of the refinement upper tower for detecting level of liquid oxygen; and solenoid valves which are electronically and automatically operated are installed in supply lines which supply liquid air from the upper and lower parts of the liquid air storage tank to an air separating apparatus lower tower.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for producing liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen is provided to operate low pressure column more stably by separating liquid air into gas stream and liquid stream. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for producing liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen comprises a high temperature portion(100) and low temperature portion(200). The high temperature portion comprises: a compressor(120) for compressing outer air; a sucking port(110) for sucking outer air; a separator(130) for removing moisture and foreign material from the compressed air; a pair of adsorption towers(140, 150) for removing remaining moisture, hydrocarbon gas, carbon dioxide, and nitrous gas; and a first cooler(160) for cooling the compressed air. The low temperature portion comprises: a main heat exchanger(210) and sub heat exchanger(220); a high pressure column(230); a low pressure column(240); a gas-liquid separator(250); and condenser(260).
