    • PURPOSE: An evaporator for a refrigerator is provided to supply the sufficient amount of cold air under the same conditions by increasing heat exchanging efficiency of an evaporator having a refrigerant tube integral with a heat exchanging fin. CONSTITUTION: Low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant flows into an evaporator when a refrigerating cycle of a refrigerator is driven. The refrigerant absorbs external heat by flowing through corrugated portions(12a,14a) in each refrigerant tube(12,14). The contact area between the refrigerant and inside of the refrigerant tubes becomes large by the corrugated portion of the refrigerant tubes. Thereby, heat exchanging efficiency of the refrigerant is kept sufficiently. While the refrigerant is evaporated, external air flows outside the refrigerant tubes to exchange heat. The air is heat-exchanged with a heat exchanging fin(16) as well as with the refrigerant tubes. The refrigerant tubes have oval form to obtain a large contact area with external air. Therefore, a large amount of air is heat-exchanged by contact with the refrigerant tubes. The heat exchanging efficiency is improved.

    • PURPOSE: An anti-frost structure of an evaporator for a refrigerator is provided to prevent stacking of frost on a holder plate. CONSTITUTION: Tubular tubes(101) are arranged in a double line to allow refrigerant to pass. Platy radiating fins(102) made of aluminum are arranged at regular intervals to allow the tubes to be inserted. Holder plates(103,103') are fixed on both of outer sides of the radiating fins to support the tubes. A heater(4) is installed on lower ends of the tubes for defrosting so that both ends thereof are fixed on the holder plates. A plurality of frost stacking preventing holes(110) are formed on the holder plates to suppress stacking of frost on sides of the holder plates. The heater periodically heats frost stacked on the tubes and the radiating fins to remove. The frost stacking preventing hole allows heat to freely move therethrough when the heater heats to completely remove frost stacked on the sides of the holder plates. Sticking of frost on the sides of the holder plates as an evaporator works for a long time is prevented thereby.
