    • An automatic transmission apparatus is provided to detect the number of rotation by a rotational number calculating unit for calculating the number of rotation of an input shaft. A planetary gear train has a first planetary gear(G1), a second planetary gear(G2), a third planetary gear(G3), and a fourth planetary gear(G4) that are arranged from an input shaft(Input) to an output shaft(Output). An input rotational member is extended from the input shaft to an exterior to be connected to a ring gear(R2) between the second planetary gear and the third planetary gear. An end of a first connecting member(M1) is connected to a carrier(PC2) of the second planetary gear between the first planetary gear and the second planetary gear. The other end of the first connecting member is connected to a ring gear(R4) of the fourth planetary gear to cover exteriors of the second planetary gear and the third planetary gear. Planetary gear sets(GS1,GS2) are formed by connecting two rotational elements of the first planetary gear and the second planetary gear, respectively. Plural coupling elements(C1,C2,C3,B1,B2,B3,B4,B5,F1,F2,F3) determine a transmission gear ratio of the planetary gear train. A first rotational sensor(TS1) detects the number of rotation of the first connecting member. A second rotational sensor(TS2) detects the number of rotation of the rotational element of the planetary gear set whose the number of rotation is different from the first connecting member. A rotational number calculating unit calculates the number of rotation of the input shaft based on the number of rotation detected by the first rotational sensor and the second rotational sensor.

    • A controller of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent a trouble of a second coupling element by controlling a rotatory speed of a motor. A controller of an automatic transmission is used for obtaining a target shift level by coupling/decoupling a first coupling element, a second coupling element, residual coupling elements, and for shifting power of a motor. A coupling trouble decision unit(51) decides a coupling trouble of the first coupling element. A coupling trouble prevention unit(53) prevents a coupling trouble of the second coupling element. The coupling trouble prevention unit suppresses the rotatory speed of the motor within the rotatory speed less than the rotatory speed causing the coupling trouble of the second coupling element at a position of a non-traveling range when the coupling trouble decision unit decides the coupling trouble of the first coupling element.
