    • An apparatus for preliminary treatment of hot metal is provided to prevent slag contained in hot metal from sticking to surfaces of refractories and extend the replacement cycle of the refractories accordingly by rotating a lance part during the injection of subsidiary raw materials, and replace the lance part easily by automatically separating the lance part from a subsidiary raw material-injecting hose through the operation of a cylinder. As an apparatus for preliminary treatment of hot metal using a lance for injecting a subsidiary raw material into hot metal, the apparatus comprises: a lance transfer car part(10) lifted by a hoist; a lance part(20) which is mounted on the lance transfer car part, and which has a lance gear(27) fixed to an outer periphery thereof; a rotation driving part(30) installed on a lower side face of the lance transfer car part and engaged with the lance gear to drive the lance gear; a lance clamping part(40) which is removably connected to a top part of the lance part, and on which a rotary joint(43) is formed so that a hose(2) for supplying a subsidiary raw material is connected to the rotary joint; and a mounting-and-dismounting drive part(50) which is installed on the lance transfer car part such that the mounting-and-dismounting drive part is integrally lifted or lowered with the lance transfer car part, and which mounts or dismounts the lance clamping part and the lance part by lifting or lowering the lance clamping part by the operation of a cylinder(51), wherein the lance part is rotated by operating the rotation driving part.
