    • PURPOSE: A method for collecting high purity potassium iodide and borides from the wasted liquid of a polarizing film manufacturing process is provided to overcome environmental problems due to iodine-containing wasted liquid. CONSTITUTION: Floats are eliminated from the wasted liquid of a polarizing manufacturing process. The pH of the wasted liquid is controlled to be more than 9. A first concentration process is implemented until the concentration of iodine is in a range between 15 and 20%. A first cooling process is implemented. A second concentration process is implemented until the concentration of iodine is in a range between 35 and 45%. A second cooling process is implemented. A third concentration process is implemented until the concentration of iodine is in a range between 50 and 55%. A third cooling process is implemented. A fourth concentration process is implemented until the concentration of iodine is 57% or more. A fourth cooling process is implemented.
